Whilst at Warley, I noticed Accucraft had a stand and had a good look at The Countess.

Went over to see the WD Baldwin, and overheard Mr. Pearse saying that they might make Caledonia in a live steam version

Then again, I might have misheard him.

I have heared this rumer too, and await results with interest, although there are a lot of things that I have heared Accucraft are supposed to be doing, but with no official word from Accucraft eg NG15's, Electric Countess, Live Steam and eletric Mannin etc

45mm is clearly the right gauge for 3' prototypes! Just a shame I won't be able to afford either of these...

and you can still model 2 foot gauge with 45 if you want! theres no rules in this hobby except rule 8

and 32 is just so small when compared!

yeah, but the problem with 45mm is most of the track made for that gauge is made for G-scale, so it looks quite frankley rubbish when modeling on 16mm scale.

so like I said rule 8 which means its my garden railway and Ill do whatever the hell I like.

and once its ballested up it looks really good Iv had loads of people mistake my G track for finescale 32!

Oops. I think I started a heated discussion here. At the end of the day we all model our trains in the way we enjoy best. I just prefer 32mm and what I meant by the wrong gauge was that it was the wrong gauge for me, not everyone.

I must admit, once properly ballasted 'orrible LGB track looks quite good.

LGB might be a bit big but its tough as nails.
