Chinese steam

I very much regret the fact that I had to sell off my steam bits and bobs back when I was ill and strapped for cash so when I discovered what is available from China reasonably cheaply I was cheered up a good deal.







Replacing the Mamod stuff I used to own is completely out of the question at New Zealand prices and since I've been ill I don't trust myself to use my lathe anymore (Anybody want to buy a Myford?), - so for a tinkerer like me who is mainly interested in geared bush tram lokeys these Chinese made items are an answer to my prayers.

It's a pity that you don't want to use your lathe again, it's so economical to make a steam engine.

It's not so much I don't want to Dave, it's that it's just not good for me to attempt to use any power tools at the moment. It's difficult for me to maintain concentration and I tire very easily which isn't exactly the safest when it comes to things like using a lathe.

I can do hand work just fine so long as I pace myself and I don't rush things.
