Two more Morgans in the works

Post by JMORG » Sun Nov 08, 2015 3:32 pm

We've been busy recently in the workshop!
After the complete renovation of the garage into a purpose built workshop, the old gent has been busy making more stuff. Here is an engine which has just arrived with Mr Acton:

This little locomotive is another "baby", similar to the previous two my father built.

As with "Norfolk Hero", this locomotive is off to it's new home once Mr Acton has finished his magic. It has handrails and window frames to go on once it is finished!

The second engine is currently unlike any locomotive we've ever worked on.

Moel Tryfan is now making good progress. The model will use modified Roundhouse cylinders and slip eccentric valve gear. Hopefully the next few months can see the locomotive finish. Just need a working chassis and a modified Billy Smokebox now...

Thank you Joe, it is very much unknown territory with this engine. As it is using RH cylinders, I created the slip eccentric parts during my first year of my apprenticeship.
