First Steam Up

Hi Folks,

Due to a very kind local member I've finally had my first ever steam up of my Leader. Needless to say it was an awesome day. Turns out my loco is a) amazing and b) fitted with RC on both the regulator and reverser, which I didn't realize!

As it wasn't my own railway filming was limited, but please find below so quick clips (I don't think you can embed YouTube here, can you?).

With regard to the R/C, did you have to move two sticks the get rhe loco to move, or just the one? There's a reason for asking - Accucraft locos can be driven on the reverser - you open the regulator manually and vary the forward/reverse to control the loco. This is how the Accucraft R/C was set up.

Two sticks, one on the regulator and one on the reverser. It totally confused me as I had now idea!

That's interesting. I always check that the R/C is working before I light the loco, as there's nothing more embarrassing than having a loco in full steam and then discovering it won't go! I suspect that if you had done that, you might have been better prepared.

It was discovered before steaming...I just hadn't realized before hand

Seems Accucraft have gone across to fitting 2 channel R/C as standard now.
