Hi all,
In now very near to finishing two andel 2 compartment panel coaches, these have been a joy to build, they went together very easily and painting them componentised made it very easy to get a nice contrasting color scheme.
I have a little work to do on the roofs (I modified these to be removable) then they will get new couplings, brass door handles (as an upgrade to the wooden ones supplied) and then a very light weathering.

Those are looking really good, like the colour scheme...
Can't see the mail bag catching apparatus though - according to the sign on top of the pillar box one's a Travelling Post Office...
Cheers,
Andrew.

Nice job,
I have had my eye on these for a while. I assume that they are a nice simple build. Like all of Andels stuff.
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!

Nice and small, sometime Accucraft stuff suits 45mm and is a tad large. Nice size those. Looking good.

Hi Big Jim,
Yes, they are an easy build, all the parts go together really nicely, I would recommend that you painted before assembly though as that makes it much easier.
I'm looking to add some more detail after picking up since more bits when I go to Merstham next month.

I like Andel kits, making 3 at present purchased at Llanfair, only 2 main problems for me, far too light, I've added 300gr of lead flashing and the wheelbase is far too long, so I've shortened that as I run R2's with a few R1's, here is the first to be finished, at £25 a kit its great value and looks the part

They look really good TLHC, I agree with the weight issue, I have added quite a few car wheel weights (the sticky back type for alloys) to the bottoms of mine, it transformed the running, I'm planning on metal centre couplings as well and I'm hoping that it will help with shunting around sharp corners.
It would be nice if they offered an option of metal wheels for an additional cost.

Finally got around to the second coach a couple of weeks ago, so now 2 are built with a shortened wheelbase, I will be adding metal wheels when I find some.

They look very nice, I have added IP couplings and brandbright door and grab handles. I must take a new picture...
