Slots for O rings are meant to be a certain percentage larger than the O rings.

Most stock [but not all] uses 25mm dia.wheels.Some stock look better on 20mm dia.wheels.

You can put the bypass water back into the deliver pipe to pump.So you only need one pipe in the tank.

You could put the gas tank in tender with a flexible pipe to loco.With the gas valve in tender[so if pipe splits you can turn gas off].
