The Tin Van now has a roof (brutally hacked out of the original Accucraft roof on a linisher), plus trial pieces of straight and curved 1/24 scale corrugated, er, aluminium (ticking on with ticky tape):

A couple of road vehicles modified for rail. A commercial motorised rear axle would have some appeal I would imagine. I grew up with it, Sandy, and couldn't agree more. If I have a complaint, it's the dark colour, but your pictures look more golden - very attractive as a backdrop. What do others use to couple if you don't use the std Accucraft chopper coupling? I can't abide choppers - never got the hang of them - so I just take off the whole Accucraft unit and replace with a cast brass 'Lincoln Pin' bell-mouth.
